Tug Watson

Tug Watson Tug Watson was born in San Diego, alongside his twin sister, in January some time in the early 1980’s. Being children of a US Marine, he and his 3 sisters were raised in military bases from California, to Virginia, the UK, then back State side again. Some time in the early 1990’s, Tug was left with a babysitter while his sisters were taken to London to see a show called Cats. It was assumed he would not like a live theatrical performance. His sisters became dancers, and he a very untalented soccer player. Recognizing that he had no talent or interest in athletics, Tug’s parents enrolled him in drama and ballet classes. It turns out, he did like live theatrical performances. He performed in community theaters, dinner theaters, and youth theaters (playing roles that were way to old for him) before graduating from high school some time in the early 2000’s. Four years later, he received a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University. Since graduating from SU, Tug has lived and performed in Chicago and New York City, and has toured with Annie, Cats, Young
Frankenstein, and most recently Evita. Some time in the early 2010’s he happily joined Actor’s Equity Association. It should also be noted that “Tug” is short his nickname, “Tugboat.” Ask him how he got that name and he will gladly share his story.
