Ellie Nunn, the daughter of the legendary Shakespearean director Sir Trevor Nunn and Imogen Stubbs, makes her Shakespeare debut this Tuesday 5th April as Viola in Grassroots Shakespeare London's production of Twelfth Night. Sir Trevor memorably directed Imogen Stubbs as Viola in the 1996 film of 'Twelfth Night'. The play also stars John Pickard as Sir Toby Belch and Tamaryn Payne as Olivia.

According to the Connecticut Post, Tony Award-winner Frankie Michaels has died at age 60. He passed away on March 30th in his home in Chittenango, NY.

The School at Steps, a multidisciplinary dance center committed to inspiring the dancers of tomorrow through nurturing mentorship, will open it's doors to dancers of all ages and levels for The Injury Prevention Workshop, the final panel of its 2015-2016 Complete Dancer Series on Sunday, April 10, 2016. Led by health, wellness and medical professionals, this workshop will cover the importance of strength training, flexibility, injury prevention and recovery, and nutrition to enable a successful dance career.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance, whose bold and dramatic works connect life and movement, hosts its annual performance and gala benefit at New Jersey's premiere performing arts center (NJPAC), Friday, April 8, 2016, at 8:00 p.m. Ten of Dorfman's stunning dancers will present the world premiere of Traces-her newest work in collaboration with her stellar artistic team from her award winning, Interior Designs. Her riveting and explosive Echad and the sensuous duet Keystone will also be performed during this celebratory evening. The Jerry Vezza Quartet will entertain during the pre-show reception, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and at the dessert reception following the performance. Traces will have its New York premiere the following weekend on April 16th, 8:00 p.m., at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC), Long Island City, Queens.

According to Mail Tribune, Camelot Theatre's artistic director Livia Genise has quit her post due to the theatre's board of directors cancelling the production of CHESS Genise had been planning for this September.

This past week, audiences of DISASTER! have been treated to surprise performances after the show by some of Broadway's best, including cast members Kerry Butler and Adam Pascal, Cheyenne Jackson, Laura Bell Bundy, Kathy Brier, and Jackie Hoffman. WICKED alums Lindsay Mendez, Derek Klena, and Kara Lindsay will join together tonight at Connecticut's Ridgefield Playhouse for An Evening with Stephen Schwartz. Their performances will be interwoven throughout the evening, which will consist primarily of an interview between Michael Kerker and Stephen Schwartz himself.

Art Makes You, a Seattle-based non-profit organization, is having its fourth fundraiser to raise money for its summer art camps for under-privileged children in the U.S., Latvia and Ukraine. 

In an interview with The Stage, Tony Award winning lyricist and book writer Don Black revealed that STEPHEN WARD will be making a reappearance on the stage after being re-worked. The musical has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics and book co-written by Black and Christopher Hampton. The show opened in 2013 in London and ran for almost four months.

According to EW, Jessica Henwick will play Colleen Wing in Marvel's upcoming Netflix series IRON FIST. Her character is a martial arts expert who runs her own dojo. She will also be one of Iron Fist's (Finn Jones) key allies as he returns to New York.

Two young drifters hanging out behind a Vermont coffee shop discussing art and the nature of the universe decide to teach a lonely high school student everything they know. THE ALIENS, "a gentle and extraordinarily beautiful new play" (New York Times) by Pulitzer Prize-Winner Annie Baker is being presented by The Theater Project, March 31 - April 3, at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts, 10 Durand Rd, Maplewood.

Kamau Kenyatta's band will be performing romantic music by Brazilian composers including Chico Buarque, Tito Madi, Radames Gnattali & Ivan Lins as part of North Coast Repertory Theatre's Monday Night Jazz Series on the intimate mainstage Monday, April 18, 2016 at 7:30 pm.

Tony Award-winning director Pam MacKinnon sat down with The Buffalo News for an interview earlier this year at the Metro Diner on the Upper West Side. The article describes the diner as somewhat similar to MacKinnon herself, saying, 'The Metro skips glitz, and so does Pam MacKinnon.'

Emmy Award winner Wayne Brady will end his run in KINKY BOOTS as Lola/Simon today. Brady took over the role in November from Billy Porter, who won a Tony in 2013 for his performance. The actor took to Twitter to post a video commemorating his final performance. Check it out below!
