Yannick Lebrun has been involved with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for the last 13 years. Starting as a student studying under a scholarship from 2004 until 2006 until making his debut with their junior company, Ailey II, immediately after. During one of the tours, Lebrun was asked to step into Ailey's highest dance company to fill in for an injured dancer.BWW Feature: PETER AND THE STARCATCHER at Kennesaw State University February 9, 2017
At one point or another, we have all experienced the magic of Peter Pan and the legacy that J.M. Barrie created over 100 years ago. Whether you have seen the films, read the novels or seen the Broadway musical 'Finding Neverland,' we have all wanted a little bit of Tinkerbell's fairy dust.BWW Review: TROUBADOUR at Alliance Theatre February 5, 2017
The Alliance Theatre has a habit of debuting innovative theatre that sometimes even makes it to Broadway. (Note: Tuck Everlasting, Bring It On, Sister Act, Aida, The Color Purple. The national tour of DIRTY DANCING is currently sweeping the nation, which means we should all be getting tickets to have the time of our lives. The musical, adapted from the 1987 film, tells the iconic story of Baby and Johnny as the unlikely pair mambo their way through an unlikely love story and lots of dance lessons. The film, being sexy and edgy for its time, captivated audiences like none before.BWW Review: APPROPRIATE at Actor's Express October 31, 2016
Theatre, like most things in life, can become the subject of repetition and become very boring. MOBY DICK at the Alliance Theatre is not an example of this, however. Starting in Chicago at the Tony Award-winning Lookingglass Theatre, this innovative, artistic work of art is not quite what you would expect. Director David Catlin adapted the piece initially with Lookingglass Theatre and The Actors Gymnasium.BWW Review: Kennesaw State University's A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE October 14, 2016
