Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director David Staller, presented its 95th production, an evening of Super Shaw, July 28 at 7pm, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2895 Broadway at 95th St.).

Since the inception of The Three Tenors on July 7, 1990 in Rome at the Baths of Caracalla on the eve of the FIFA World Cup Final, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and the one and only Luciano Pavarotti; have opened the doors for other great voices, such as the Irish Tenors, The Canadian Tenors and many other talented and renowned performers. Now three of New York's premier voices, Andy Cooney, Daniel Rodriguez and Christopher Macchio have joined together as The New Yorkers to honor the city of New York and our great nation. On Friday July 25, 2014 they brought their debut show to E.W. DRG Records just kicked off the release of Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway: Comes Out Swinging! (2014 Un-Original Cast Album), produced by Grammy Award winner Hugh Fordin, yesterday at Barnes & Noble (150 East 86 Street). The cast along with writer/creator and director Gerard Alessandrini and longtime Forbidden Broadway illustrator and CD cover artist Ken Fallin, were on hand to sign the CD and for performances. The New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York State affiliate of the ACLU, just welcomed an array of award-winning performers for Broadway Stands Up for Freedom, its annual benefit concert, which was held last night, July 21, at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place, NYC). The week-long program immerses campers in an authentic Broadway rehearsal process that culminated in a Family Finale presentation yesterday. Inspired by Broadway's cherished works and steeped in its grand traditions, Camp Broadway is designed to build confidence, inspire creative expression, and instill well-being in both aspiring artists and future audiences.

Camp Broadway's Original Summer Program for theater-loving kids, ages 10-17, began earlier this week and continues through today July 18, 2014. The week-long program will immerse campers in an authentic Broadway rehearsal process that culminates in a Family Finale presentation on Friday, July 18. Inspired by Broadway's cherished works and steeped in its grand traditions, Camp Broadway is designed to build confidence, inspire creative expression, and instill well-being in both aspiring artists and future audiences.
