More of the performers that will make up the company of the very special concert version of SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM that takes place on Friday 20 April 2012 at Theatre Royal, Sydney have been announced.

The concert, headlined by, West End and Broadway star, Ruthie Henshall also features a host of Australia’s most beloved performers. Trailer.

Mitchell Butel (Avenue Q); Alinta Chidzey (West Side Story); Brendan Coustley (Rock of Ages); Helen Dallimore (Into The WoodsSpring Awakening); Lucy Durack (Legally BlondeWicked); Wayne Scott Kermond (Singin’ In The Rain); Melissa Langton (We Will Rock You); Lara Mulcahy (MAMMA MIA!); Josh Piterman (An Officer and a GentlemanWest Side Story); Shaun Rennie (CatsThe Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber). 

Some of Australia’s best-known television stars will also appear on the night, narrating the show.   Narrators include:  Paula Duncan, Judy Nunn, Andrew O’Keefe, Jessica Rowe and Bruce Venables. 

Singing additional vocals on the night will be:  Johanna Allen, Erin James, Anita Plateris and Belinda Wollaston

SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM celebrates the early part of Stephen Sondheim’s in career in landmark shows that revolutionised musical theatre. This wonderful production celebrates some of his best-known works including Send In The Clowns, Broadway Baby, Losing My Mind and Being Alive as well as featuring songs fromWest Side Story and Gypsy.
