Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol has become a staple of the holiday season. Over the years, there have been countless adaptations of the writer's classic story with a number of celebrities playing the miserly Scrooge (or a variation of the character) from Kelsey Grammer and Michael Caine to George C. Scott and Albert Finney to Vanessa Williams and Susan Lucci.

Though the actors and characters may change, the story remains the same. A cold, unfeeling, and difficult person is faced with their past, present, and future, showing them the error of their ways and opening their eyes to the magic of Christmas. Whether for adults or children, it is always an endearing story; one that reminds everyone that the magic of Christmas show live inside of them all year round.

For the 2013 holiday season, Way Off Broadway's Children's Theatre is putting its own twist on the story of Ebenezer with a brand new addition to the Children's Theatre Collection, A Children's Theatre Christmas Carol. In Way Off Broadway's retelling, it is Ms. Ebenezer, a school teacher who has no time for fun, that is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, all of whom help to bring the spirit of the season into her life.

Way Off Broadway's A Children's Theatre Christmas Carol features Caitlin Barnes, Chelsea Bondarenko, Sam Buchanan, Matt Ciazza, Matthew Crawford, Ryan Kane, Bill Kiska, Emma Shirey, Jordan B. Stocksdale and Jessica Billones as Ms. Ebenezer. The story was adapted by and is directed by Jordan B. Stocksdale.

A Children's Theatre Christmas Carol runs from November 16 - December 28, 2013, with performances every Saturday afternoon and the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, as well as select added weekday performances. Tickets are $17 per person with birthday party packages also available.
