Michael Murray, organ, will perform a recital Saturday, February 8, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Rd.

Murray will present a recital of works by Bach, Widor, and Dupré. Prior to joining the Ohio State Music and Dance Library, he performed as organist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, and others throughout Europe, the United States, and Japan. He has made 30 recordings for the Telarc label, and was awarded an honorary DMA from Ohio State in 2001. Murray currently teaches Music 6786: Music Research Methods and Bibliography.

Wednesday's at Six Concert: Faculty Artist Katherine Borst Jones Presents Flute Concert

The School of Music presents faculty artist Katherine Borst Jones, flute, in concert Wednesday, February 12, at 6 p.m. in Weigel Hall Auditorium, 1866 College Rd.

Jones will present "The Lyric Flute," with Bruce Henniss, horn, and Edward Back, piano. The program will include solo pieces by Francis Poulenc and Virgil Thompson; flute/piano works by Arthur Foote, Johan Kvandal, Jacques Ibert , and Walter Gieseking; trios by Charles Koeching and Eric Ewasen.

Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 senior citizens, Alumni Association members, non-Ohio State students and children. Free to all Ohio State students, faculty and staff; 1 ticket per BuckID presented in person, subject to availability.
