Samuel L. Jackson Joins THE SECRET SERVICE as Villain

Variety reports that Samuel L. Jackson will play the villain in director Matthew Vaughn's movie THE SECRET SERVICE for Fox. He will join previously announced cast members Colin Firth and Taron Egerton.

THE SECRET SERVICE is based on the graphic novel series by Mark Millar and David Gibbons, with script by Vaughn and Jane Goldman. The film follows a secret agent who becomes a mentor for a rookie in the service.

The search is currently on for the film's female lead, with Emma Watson and Bella Heathcote rumored for consideration. Production is aiming for a fall 2013 start.

Jackson's upcoming projects include Oldboy, RoboCop, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Reasonable Doubt, Kite, Moose, Barely Lethal, Big Game, The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Nick Fury. Past film credits include Django Unchained, The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Other Guys, Iron Man, Inglourious Basterds, Snakes on a Plane, Star Wars, xx, Shaft, Pulp Fiction, Jurassic Park and many more.
