Musical theatre and cabaret diva Shona White will return to perform at Lauderdale House's Cabaret In The House season on Sunday March 16, two years after first performing there.

An experienced and versatile musical theatre leading lady (whose roles have included Elphaba in Wicked, Sophie and Lisa in Mamma Mia, Magenta/Usherette in the Rocky Horror Show and Florence in Chess), Shona is also no stranger to the cabaret and concert scene, having performed in venues including Pizza On The Park, The Pheasantry, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, Cardiff Castle and the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations at Buckingham Palace. Her solo album "I'll Bring You A Song", an eclectic mix of musical theatre, pop and folk songs, was released in 2011.

Her Lauderdale House cabaret will be "a chilled afternoon of a mixture of folk, musical theatre and pop - an intimate musical love-in with friends". Shona will be joined on stage by three girls she mentors from the PPA college in Guildford and by supporting performer Nathan Lodge (a graduate of Shona's own alma mater, the Italia Conti Academy Of Theatre Arts, where he was awarded the Principal's Award for Singing and Student of Year 2013). Nathan sang for Scott Alan in his concert at IndigO2, performed with Rachel Tucker at Giggin4Good's A Christmas Cracker at The Union Theatre and took part in the premiere concert of new musical "The 8th Fold" at the Duchess Theatre.

Shona's guest artist will be Joe Sterling (who played the role of Ugly in Stiles and Drewe's musical "Honk!" at the Tabard Theatre and has established himself as a frequent performer in many of London's singer/songwriter venues). Shona will be performing a song from Joe Sterling's musical-in-development, "Roundabout" and Joe will perform a brand new song from his upcoming EP. (Joe's debut EP, "Half A Year", was released in iTunes and Amazon in 2013 and "Somewhere In My Mind", an album of his songs performed by West End and Off-West End stars, was released by SimG Records in 2012.)

Shona White's Lauderdale cabaret will also be something of a "mini-Chess reunion" as she will be joined by two members of the team from Craig Revel Horwood's tour production of Chess - guitarist Greg Clarke and musical director Tony Award-winner Sarah Travis.
