Rob Evan, Luba Mason, et al. Set for Neil Berg Concerts, 7/4-16

Feinstein's at Loews Regency has just announced the return engagement of Neil Berg and his show "Broadway And Berg: Broadway Show Stoppers and the Theater Songs of Neil Berg" from July 4 to July 16. Berg and friends will recreate well-known Broadway show stoppers along with songs from Mr. Berg's musicals of the past, present, and future (Off-Broadway's The Prince and the Pauper, the upcoming Grumpy Old Men, The Twelve, The Man Who Would Be King).

The evening will feature performances by Rob Evan (Jekyll and Hyde, The Prince and the Pauper), Luba Mason (The Capeman, Chicago), Rita Harvey (Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof), Lawrence Clayton (Les Miserables, Dreamgirls) and William Michals (South Pacific, Beauty & the Beast), as well nightly special guests. All shows are at the Loews Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Neil Berg is the composer and lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway musical The Prince and the Pauper, which ran for two years at the Lambs Theater. The New York Times raved "(Berg's) music soars on Angel's wings." Neil's next New York project is a special presentation of his new rock musical The Twelve at B.B. King Blues Club in August. Neil is currently the composer for the new Broadway-bound musical Grumpy Old Men, based on the Warner Brothers movie classic.

Neil's latest musical, The Man Who Would Be King, with book and lyrics by DJ Salisbury, had a developmental reading/workshop at The Village Theater in Issaquah, WA, directed by Tony Award winner Brian Yorkey (Next To Normal). Neil's musical Tim and Scrooge, with book and lyrics by Nick Meglin, was part of the inaugural NYMF festival, then garnered a rave review in the New York Times after it opened for an Equity run starring Tony Award nominee Bobby Steggert at The Queens Theater in the Park.

Neil also composed the new musical Heidi, book by Julia Jordan and commissioned by Douglas Love and the Walden Family Theater. His musical Hexed in the City played Off- Broadway at The Zipper Theater. Neil was also the recipient of the 1995 Bistro Award for Best Musical for his show Asylum in the Night, a revue of Neil's theater music. Neil was also the composer/music supervisor on the feature film Searching For Bobby D. featuring Carmen Electra, Sandra Bernhard, and Mario Cantone, and is composer of the upcoming film Goat starring Armand Assante, Ice-T, and Ja Rule. Neil is the creator and co-producer of Neil Berg's "100 Years of Broadway," which is now the number one Broadway touring concert in the United States, playing in over 120 cities in 2010/2011. FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present "Broadway And Berg: Broadway Show Stoppers and the Theater Songs of Neil Berg from Tuesday, July 5 to Saturday, July 16. The show runs Tuesday through Saturday at 8:30 PM. There is no show on Thursday, July 14. Please note: Rob Evan will not be appearing on July 12 or July 13; William Michals will only be appearing July 5 though 9.
