According to Deadline, former SNL player Rachel Dratch has signed on to join 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski and Amy Sedaris (STRANGERS WITH CANDY) in Fox's upcoming comedy pilot DEAD BOSS.

Based upon the BBC3 series, the project "is a comedic mystery that finds overachiever Helen Stephens (Krakowski) wrongfully convicted of murdering her boss and forced to rely on her train wreck of a sister to prove her innocence."

Dratch will take on the role of "Christine, Helen's cellmate, a sunny-but-emotionally-needy arsonist who will help Helen out of anything, except prison."

Sharon Horgan and Holly Walsh created BBC's original DEAD BOSS.

Dratch moved to Chicago, Illinoisafter college to study improv at The Second City and ImprovOlympic. Her breakthrough came on the NBC television show Saturday Night Live (SNL), where she was a cast member from 1999 to 2006. Besides her work on SNL, she has appeared as a guest star in television shows such as The King of Queens and 30 Rock, as well as films such as Click and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. In 2012, she published her autobiographical book Girl Walks Into a Bar: Comedy Calamities, Dating Disasters and a Midlife Miracle.

Krakowski has a knack for scene stealing roles, on stage where she earned Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Awards for her role of Carla in the revival of Nine, and on screen, where she is known for her three-time Emmy nominated role of Jenna Maroney on "30 Rock." The acclaimed comedy earned Jane, along with her "30 Rock" cast mates, the 2008 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Comedy Ensemble. Jane received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Elaine on the award-winning series "Ally McBeal." She received her first Tony nomination for her work in the production of Grand Hotel, and her other Broadway credits include Company, Once Upon a Mattress, Tartuffe and Starlight Express. In the summer of 2008, she starred in the Encores revival of Damn Yankees opposite Sean Hayes. Last year, Jane released her debut solo album, "The Laziest Gal in Town," captured during her cabaret debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency. In her Town Hall debut, she will beguile the audience with American, Broadway, pop and jazz tunes that showcase her unique voice and engaging personality.
