On May 11th, television hostess/actress/The Color Purple producer Oprah Winfrey honored 25 great women--including theatre stars such as Leslie Uggams and Melba Moore--at the Legends Ball, which took place at the Morgan Library and Museum in New York.

The Legends Ball will be broadcast on ABC on May 15th from 8 PM to 9 PM. "As the one-year anniversary of her memorable Legends Ball nears, Oprah Winfrey brings to television her personal archival footage from the three-day, once-in-a-lifetime celebration honoring 25 legendary women in the fields of art, entertainment and civil rights," state notes on ABC's website.
