Photo Coverage: Des McAnuff Portrait Unveiled at Sardi's

On November 9th, Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff was honored with a caricature at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant in New York.
Jersey Boys, the 2006 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical that McAnuff directed, continues to be a hit at the August Wilson Theatre, while the national tour of the show will kick off in December. Joining McAnuff at the Sardi's celebration were Jersey Boys Broadway cast members John Lloyd Young, Christian Hoff, J. Robert Spencer and Daniel Reichard, as well as tour stars Erich Bergen, Deven May, Michael Ingersoll and Christopher Kale Jones. The musical tells the story of pop legends The Four Seasons.
McAnuff is currently the artistic director of the La Jolla Playhouse (where Jersey Boys originated), and in 2008, will star duties as as one the artistic directors of Ontario's Stratford Festival. He is a Tony Award-winner for directing The Who's Tommy, while other Broadway credits include 700 Sundays, Dracula, the Musical, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and A Walk in the Woods. He is among the producing team that comprises Dodger Theatricals. He also recently directed The Wiz at La Jolla; that production runs through November 26th.
