NBC Sports Group will present more than 60 hours of men's and women's FIS World Cup skiing coverage over the next two weekends, featuring Olympic downhill champion Lindsey Vonn, Olympic slalom champion Mikaela Shiffrin, two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety, and U.S. Olympians Travis Ganong and Steven Nyman.
Coverage is highlighted by the women's Nature Valley Aspen Winternational event from Aspen, Colo., on Nov. 27-29, the men's Audi Birds of Prey event from Beaver Creek, Colo., on Dec. 4-6, and men's (Nov. 27-29) and women's events (Dec. 4-6) at Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. NBC, NBCSN, Universal HD, and NBC Sports Live Extra will combine to present the Aspen Winternational and Birds of Prey events, while Universal HD and Live Extra will handle exclusive coverage in Lake Louise. NBC Sports Group's FIS World Cup coverage during the next two weekends includes alpine events in the downhill, slalom, giant slalom and super-G disciplines, as well as cross-country, Nordic combined and ski jumping events. Bode Miller, the most decorated U.S. Olympic skier in history, will make his debut as an analyst during NBC Sports' coverage of the Audi Birds of Prey event on Dec. 4-6. Lead play-by-play commentator Dan Hicks will call the Aspen Winternational and Audi Birds of Prey, alongside analysts and former World Cup downhillers Steve Porino and Todd Brooker. Steve Schlanger will serve as a reporter in Aspen. This weekend's coverage in Aspen begins Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET on Universal HD with the giant slalom, followed by Saturday's slalom coverage on NBCSN at 3:30 p.m. ET, and NBC's live slalom coverage on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.Click here to find NBCSN in your area.
