MSNBC's Wounded: The Battle Back Home' to Return With 'Angie' Today

Wounded Warrior Project commemorates the 10th anniversary of the non-profit veterans service organization with "Wounded: The Battle Back Home," a documentary-style film series that brings to life the experiences of warriors with both visible and invisible wounds as they navigate their postwar lives. The project, produced in conjunction with Austin-based Flow Nonfiction, returns with the second installment "Angie" today, December 15, as part of the "Taking the Hill" series on MSNBC.

The series continues with Angie Peacock, an Iraq War veteran who returned from combat suffering severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Spiraling into drug addiction and eventually six suicide attempts, "Wounded: The Battle Back Home" shares Angie's courageous story of determination as she fights toward recovery with the help of Wound Warrior Project, receiving the support and resources she desperately needs. Cameras follow as Peacock works to curb the challenges presented by PTSD, enrolls in college where she starts a student veteran organization and begins to peer-mentor other recovering warriors.
