Janet Killeen Reveals Trauma of Abusive Relationships in Short Story Collection

About the Author

Janet Killeen was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, and went to school in York. She joined the University of Kent at Canterbury to study English and American literature. She studied the impact of language in the creation of stereotypes, for her master's degree focusing on the portrayal of Jews in 19th century literature. She began to explore the issues of faith and doubt that have found expression in her short stories. Killeen published "Recognition," in 2013. Two illustrated books for children, "The Barking Cat" and "The Moonlight Foxes", are scheduled for publication in the autumn.
