JERSEY BOYS Cast Ushers in the Super Bowl on 'Super Bowl Boulevard' Today
Stars from the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical Jersey Boys will perform in Super Bowl Boulevard today, January 29 at 6:00 PM as part of the NFL's reveal of the Super Bowl Roman Numerals the highly anticipated bright lights on Broadway at 43rd Street that frame the 20-feet tall "XLVIII."
Leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII, the NFL will transform 13 blocks of Broadway into Super Bowl Boulevard Engineered by GMC the Super Bowl¹s epicenter for NFL fans in New York City.
Performing with Jersey Boys cast members Richard H. Blake, Matt Bogart, Joseph Leo Bwarie and Drew Gehling, will be The Boys Choir of Harlem and New York City's legendary Dance Company, The Rockettes. The Numerals will be revealed by a counterweight system behind a 30- by 8-foot LED screen during the finale of the show.
JERSEY BOYS opened on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005 at the August Wilson Theatre. The show has been seen by over 19 million people worldwide (as of January, 2014) and is currently playing in New York; Las Vegas; London;in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour, The Netherlands and Seoul, South Korea.
JERSEY BOYS is written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.
JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, about a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. The show features all their hits including "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Oh What A Night," "Walk Like A Man," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Working My Way Back To You."
