Gardner & Wife Theatre to Present STUCK This May

Gardner & Wife Theatre's STUCK will run 8 - 29 May 2017 in Kuala Lumpur.

It all begins when Flyod gets his kite stuck in a tree....

He throws up his shoe to shift it, but that gets stuck too. So he throws up his other shoe and that gets stuck, too... along with the cat, a ladder, a pot of paint, the kitchen sink, an orang-utan and a whale, amongst other things!

Will Floyd ever get his kite back???

STUCK is a great little story about a little boy in a very sticky situation!

Adam Bampton-Smith of UK's The Big Wooden Horse Theatre Company adapts and directs STUCK, the multi-award winning children's book by Oliver Jeffers, author of How to Catch a Star, Lost and Found and The Way Back Home.

It will be performed by Aaron Teoh & Safia Hanifah, well-known stars of the Malaysian musical theatre scene.

With catchy music and plenty of audience participation, this stage adaptation of Oliver Jeffers' tale about a little boy in a very sticky situation is ideal for those aged 3 years and up.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Aaron Teoh

Aaron graduated with a degree in Theatre from the University of Tasmania. He is currently Head of Performing Arts at Dwi Emas International School. Performance credits include Craig in "Jade" (2017), "If Music Be The Food Of Love, Jazz On" (2016), "We Very Christmas" (2016), "The Best of Sondheim; Abridged" (2015), Michael in "Tick, Tick... Boom!" (2015), Nanki-Poo in "The Mikado" (2014), Charley Kringas in "Merrily We Roll Along" (2014), and Man 1 in "Songs For A New World" (2013). Nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards 2015 and once more for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2016.

Safia Hanifah

Safia is a freelance performer based in Kuala Lumpur. Notable stage roles include: Datin Seri in "Dato' Seri", A Malay adaptation of Shakespeare's "Macbeth" (The Actor's Studio), The Cat in the Hat in "Seussical!" (Enfiniti Academy), Harriet in Zak Zebra's "Malaysian Safari" (Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre), Ulla in "The Producers" (PAN Productions), Jackie in "Dreaming Outside the Box" (Yayasan Sime Darby), Norizan understudy in "P.Ramlee The Musical" (Enfiniti Vision Media). She was most recently seen in I Theatre's "The Ant and the Grasshopper" in Singapore.
