LONG BEACH, Calif., June 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ DJ Ass Maggots, a pseudonym for a physician practicing internal medicine with an emphasis on geriatric care, announced today the release of his fourth book, "Cat Post," to audiences worldwide. The book "Cat Post" is an animated American book that chronicles the life of Orwell the Cat, her human roommate, and those that come across their path.

Told through fragments of diary entries, this unorthodox magnum opus relays the adventures of a cantankerous female kitten and her equally snarky human. "Cat Post is a unapologetic memoir. It's basic reportage from the front lines," Ass Maggots said. "If you're into cats, you will like this anthropomorphic look into what they might be thinkingbecause it's never good."

The bookopens on a burned-out house. Loose scraps of paper and a tape recorder are found in the basement. Ominous? Certainly. Relevant? Quite. Foreshadowing? Yes.

The book chronicles the transformative journey of Orwell, the cat, and her human, bringing to the forefront the controversial topic of cat-human relations. It is an ode to anyone who has ever had a cat or any pet and wondered if their pet is out to get them. Fans of animals, comic books, mystery, and science fiction as well as readers of adventure narratives and memoirs will be drawn to Ass Maggots intense descriptions of an animal who just might kill his human captor.

"Cat Post" is a profoundly personal and philosophical exploration of one of life's fundamental questions: do our pets love us or do they really want us all gone? The book also addresses universal themes such as the importance of being loved, a basic human need to take care of a pet; the meaning of home; the owner-pet bond; the search for ways to live more fully; how we, as owners, can guide our pets with a light but steady hand; and the painand joyof letting go for the animal that is. Many of the gags focus on Orwell the Cat's destructive behavior and human's obsessive phobia that Orwell is trying to kill him.

"Cat Post" is DJ Ass Maggots' fourth book. Thisfictional story of cat-human relations offers a doorway into DJ Ass Maggots' bizarre and psychedelic imagination.Brash and offensive, DJ Ass Maggots ties disparate themes together to produce a truly remarkable work.
