Having extended the run of performances, Cirque du Soleil's Quidam now concludes its engagement at the Royal Albert Hall on 16 Feburary 2014 as previously anounced. This visit marks the final time that Quidam will be performed in the UK.

Quidam received its world premiere in Montreal under the Big Top in April 1996. Since then, the production has toured on five continents and played to over 10 million patrons worldwide. In December 2010 Quidam embarked on a new journey, performing the same production in arenas throughout the world and earlier this month the show opened at the Royal Albert Hall.

At the Royal Albert Hall, with an opening night audience that included celebrities Beth Tweddle, Karren Brady, Nigel Harman, Sir David Jason and Tamara Ecclestone, over 120,000 people have so far attended a performance during Quidam's 2014 residency. In the final weeks of the run, the 3 millionth London patron of a Cirque du Soleil show will be welcomed to the Hall since the company's first performance in the city in 1990.

The director of Quidam is Franco Dragone, the artistic guide is Gilles Ste-Croix, set designs are by Michel Crête, costume designs are by Dominique Lemieux and François Barbeau, musical direction and composition is by Benoit Jutras, with choreography by Debra Brown, lighting by Luc Lafortune and sound by Franc??ois Bergeron.

Quidam features an international cast of 45 world-class acrobats from 19 countries across the globe, including the award winning acts Banquine, in which fifteen artists perform sequences of acrobatics and human pyramids in synchronized movements and Aerial Contortion in Silk combining intensity, power and grace suspended high above the stage. Other acts include Aerial Hoops, Rope Skipping, Diablo and Juggling.

From a group of 20 street performers at its beginnings in 1984, Cirque du Soleil is now a major Quebec-based organization providing high-quality artistic entertainment. The company has 5,000 employees, including more than 1,300 performing artists from almost 50 different countries. Since 1984, Cirque du Soleil has been seen by over 100 million spectators in more than 300 cities in over forty countries on six continents.
