According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Williams has joined Don Hall to direct Walt Disney Animation Studios' upcoming film BIG HERO 6. In addition, 'Tangled' producer Roy Conli has signed on to produce the project.

Williams co-directed and co-wrote the screenplay for Disney's 2008 animated film Bolt, which earned him an Oscar nomination for best animated feature. His other writing credits include Mulan, The Emperor's New Groove and Brother Bear for Disney. He currently lends his voice to the character, 'Oaken' in Disney's Frozen.

Conli joins the film following his successful Disney venture Tangled, which earned a whopping $588.8 worldwide at the box office. His other producing credits include 2002's Treasure Planet.

"Big Hero 6," is described as an action comedy adventure which follows brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo.

With the help of his closest companion-a robot named Baymax-Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the CG-animated "Big Hero 6" hits theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014.
