BWW Interviews: Jonathan Eio On EMERGING ARTISTS!

I've known Simon Greiff for over six years now and have been directed by him on quite a few occasions. He asked me to be part of the evening. I believe SimG is top of its game in supporting new musical writing. Without this kind of support and promotion, we wouldn't even get close to the opportunity of being able to hear such fresh and innovative material.

What type of show can your audience expect?

The material on the night from me will be a mixture of songs: two from my current album, New Beginnings, and the others from two other albums that are currently being produced. It's a mixture of musical theatre and pop.

The show also features two other writers: Dan Looney (writer of The Confession Room) and Ella Grace, who I've known for quite a few years and I believe her music will be quite eclectic and ethereal - definitely worth coming to see!

And I understand you have two West End guests joining you: what will they be performing?

I have Laura Pitt Pulford singing 'Sandbox' , a song from New Beginnings, a female power ballad, and Dan Buckley, who i performed with on the UK tour of Spring Awakening; he will be singing a song called No More Lies from the Duets album that I am currently recording.
