The sheet music from 2011 Tony-nominated Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, is now available exclusively at NewMusicalTheatre.com.

Songs available, individually and in a vocal selections songbook, include "Populism, Yea Yea," "I'm Not That Guy," "Illness As Metaphor," "I'm So That Guy," "Ten Little Indians," "The Corrupt Bargain," "Rock Star," "The Great Compromise," "Public Life," "Crisis Averted," "The Saddest Song," and "Second Nature."

Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, with score by Friedman and book by Alex Timbers, premiered off-Broadway at The Public Theater in April 2010. The production received the 2010 Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical and the 2011 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson opened on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in September 2010 and received Tony nominations for Best Book of a Musical and Best Scenic Design of a Musical. The Broadway production featured Benjamin Walker, 2013 Tony nominee Kristine Nielsen, James Barry, Darren Goldstein, Greg Hildreth, Jeff Hiller, Lucas Near-Verbrugghe, Cameron Ocasio, Bryce Pinkham, Nadia Quinn, Maria Elena Ramirez, Kate Cullen Roberts, and Emily Young. A cast album is available from Sh-K-Boom Records.

Composer-lyricist Michael Friedman most recently wrote the score for the Public's Love's Labour's Lost, part of the 2013 season of Shakespeare in the Park, and composed music for Anne Washburn's Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, currently running at Playwrights Horizons. Other shows include The Civilians' This Beautiful City (The Vineyard Theatre), Saved (Playwrights Horizons), Hoover Comes Alive! (La Jolla Playhouse), The Brand New Kid (The Kennedy Center), and In the Bubble (AMTP at Northwestern University), as well as The Civilians' [I Am] Nobody's Lunch, Canard, Canard, Goose? and the long-running Gone Missing. Friedman is a founding Associate Artist of the Obie-Award-winning Civilians and a recipient of a MacDowell fellowship, a Hodder Fellowship, and a 2007 Obie Award.
