BLINK & YOU MIGHT MISS ME Comes to XL Nightclub, 5/11

After sold-out performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Springs, Vancouver and at sea, Broadway Veteran Larry Blum's internationally acclaimed one-man show, BLINK & You Might Miss Me, directed by Stan Zimmerman, will have its one-night-only New York premiere Saturday, May 11, at 8:00pm at XL Nighclub, Cabaret & Lounge, 510 West 42nd Street.

BLINK & You Might Miss Me is the show business story of a man you've seen escorting the biggest stars of Hollywood as they ascend the stairs to the Oscars, Emmy's and Golden Globes; the man you've seen briefly in A Chorus Line, in the feature film cult classic Xanadu, on TV's Solid Gold, or acting in every major daytime drama. Larry Blum is the everyman of show business who you may have missed if you blinked. Larry Blum has stories to tell.

Winner of BROADWAYWORLD.COM "Best Actor" & "Best Director," BLINK & You Might Miss Me is a hilarious look back at Bronx born Larry Blum's personal journey in show business. Sharing engaging stories, gossip, rare clips and photos from his long and varied career, Mr. Blum reflects on the opportunity he has had to experience celebrity up close and personal. Though Mr. Blum's name may not be a household word, BLINK & You Might Miss Me is his moment to take center stage. At least for one night.

Larry Blum's love of the business is contagious. LA Weekly called Mr. Blum "a clever, funny, accomplished raconteur." Frontiers Magazine wrote, "What's so fascinating about Blum is experiences he's had... We're darn lucky to get to hear all about it and smile along with him."

Larry Blum began his career in show business dancing in productions of I Married An Angel, Bye Bye Birdie and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. After playing the role of Greg in A Chorus Line, he settled in Los Angeles and danced on The 3rd Barry Manilow Special, The Bea Arthur Special, The Tonight Show, the Opening Ceremony of the 1984 Summer Olympics, The People's Choice Awards and Solid Gold. His film credits include Xanadu and 18 Again, and he has appeared on the television series Roseanne, The Jeffersons, The Golden Girls and The Garry Shandling Show, and many many others. Currently he works as a "rehearsal actor" and performer on every major TV reality/variety show including The Voice, Dancing With The Stars, Splash, America's Got Talent, and every award show including the The Golden Globes, Grammys, SAG Awards, Emmys, and The Oscars.

Stan Zimmerman is a writer, producer, director and acting teacher. He made his stage directing debut with the 30th anniversary revival of Gemini at Celebration Theatre, followed by A Tuna Christmas at Theatre Asylum, Spike Heels at Actor's Circle Theater and the award-winning production of Entertaining Mr. Sloane at Actors Company. With his writing partner James Berg, Mr. Zimmerman worked on such classic series as The Golden Girls and Roseanne (penning the now famous "lesbian kiss" episode), both of which received WGA Award nominations for Best Comedy Writing. Other television writing credits include The Gilmore Girls, the Lifetime sitcom Rita Rocks (which they also created) and both Brady Bunch movies. They rewrote Christmas Bounty, which will air on ABC Family in December. With Christian McLaughlin, Mr. Zimmerman wrote IT'S ON!, their TV theme song musical which played at NYMF last July and the 21st & 22th Annual Divas Simply Singing benefit. Their first comedy play, Meet & Greet, was recently a part of The Blank Theatre's Living Room Series for new readings in L.A. Mr. Zimmerman will be making his film directing debut with a female ensemble script he co-wrote with Mr. McLaughlin --The Homecoming Queen's Going Down.
