2014 Helpmann Award winning Best Cabaret Artist Yana Alana returns to Adelaide with her smash hit one-woman show "Between the Cracks" for a limited Fringe season at the Garden of Unearthly Delights.

Winning the Helpmann and two Green Room Awards for Best Production and Best Cabaret Artist as well as rave reviews from critics around the country, "Between the Cracks" is a bent night of blues, burlesque and blame from Australia's favourite feather ruffler, rabble rouser, and cabaret provocateur.

Accompanied by her long suffering accompanist Jo Abbott, Yana Alana opens up and bares all - quite literally - through song, eccentric dance, poetry and tantrums wearing little more than a slick of blue paint and some glitter.

Smart, sexy and frequently smutty, "Between the Cracks" is cabaret at its very best - incisive, hilarious, confronting and, most of all, musically divine.

"Yana Alana - Between the Cracks" runs tonight, February 13 to March 1 at The Deluxe in the Garden of Unearthly Delights. Tickets are now on sale via Fringetix at www.adelaidefringe.com.au or phone 1300 621 255 or visit www.gardenofunearthlydelights.com.au. PLEASE NOTE THIS SHOW IS RATED R18+.

ABOUT YANA ALANA - Yana Alana imposed herself on Melbourne performer Sarah Ward in late 2006, and quickly manipulated her way into their debut show "Bite Me", which played award-winning seasons at the Melbourne Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Midsumma and Feast Festival.

The sell out follow up show, "Bite Me Harder", was commissioned for Full Tilt at the Victorian Arts Centre in 2008 with The Town Bikes, and earned Yana Alana the title of Best Cabaret Artiste at that year's Green Room Awards.

In 2010 Yana Alana and band Tha Paranas premiered their cabaret show "In Concert" to sold-out audiences and rave reviews at Midsumma, and in 2011 the show received an impressive six Green Room Awards including Best Production, Best Original Music, Best Musical Direction, Best Cabaret Artiste, Best Ensemble and Best Director. The show was produced later that year at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival.

Yana Alana's latest work "Between The Cracks" premiered in 2013 as a part of Midsumma and went on to tour the Sydney Festival, Darwin Festival, Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Feast and The Ballarat Festival, . The show earned her the 2014 Helpmann Award for Best Cabaret Artist, as well as two Green Room Awards for Best Cabaret Artist and Best Production. The show was scheduled as part of the 2014 Adelaide Cabaret Festival program but had to be cancelled due to illness.

In 2014 Yana Alana and her accompanist Bec Beat, alongside designer Adrienne Chisholm, created an intimate live art show commissioned by Theatreworks for FOLA which toured to the Brisbane Festival.

Sarah Ward has also starred in "La Soiree" at the Darwin and Brisbane Festival and Sydney Opera House as well as Moira Finucane and Jackie Smith's "Glory Box" in Melbourne, Adelaide and Buenos Aires. She toured the world as the Ring Mistress for Circus Oz and was a one half of celebrated Australian hip-hop cabaret act Sista She.
