Sandy Verschoor Appointed as New General Manager and Producer of Windmill Theatre

Windmill Theatre Chair Ginger Fitzpatrick today announced the appointment of Sandy Verschoor as the company's new General Manager and Producer.

Ms Fitzpatrick said Ms Verschoor brings a wealth of experience to Windmill following several high profile arts leadership roles in South Australia.

Ms Verschoor joins Windmill following her most recent position as General Manager, City Culture and Community Services at Adelaide City Council. Previously, she was Executive Producer of Adelaide Festival of Ideas, Associate Director of Arts Projects Australia, which included roles with WOMADelaide and Adelaide Film Festival, and was CEO of Adelaide Fringe Festival for four years during its period of expansion and establishment as an annual event.

Ms Verschoor has also taught Strategic Marketing for the University of South Australia's Masters of Communications program in Adelaide, Hong Kong and Singapore.

'We are incredibly pleased to have a talented executive of Sandy's calibre join the Windmill team to build on its success to date and to lead the next stage of its strategic journey,' Ms Fitzpatrick said.

Artistic Director, Rosemary Myers added, 'On the cusp of moving into a new home, shooting our first film and setting off to New York City with Pinocchio, I, as is all of the Windmill team, am thrilled to welcome Sandy at this time of great anticipation and adventure.'

Ms Verschoor will take up the role in April 2015.
