Sharny Russell's album "Comes A Time" is available for order in all record stores and online. The APRA award-winning jazz artist belongs to one of Australia's most talented musical families. She will be appearing for two dates later this month in Adelaide, as well as hosting a workshop.

After her tertiary music studies in classical piano, she began her jazz career "to earn a crust", but not long into it, she was involved in a serious car accident which left her with the worst cranio-facial injuries for anyone who had lived in Australian medical history to that point. She was also told she may never sing again. She not only kept singing, but went on to write volumes of much-loved children's and gospel music, as well as play and sing for radio and TV broadcasts - most notably her stint as MD for the Channel 9 TV show,

Iconic Seekers singer, Judith Durham, heard Sharny perform and was insistent she must record, and she released a full original album "A Good Thing on Hold" on ABC Classics in 2003. She has also recorded 2 albums "Velvet Jazz" and "Velvet Live" with iconic guitarist George Golla.

In her teaching career at university in Brisbane, Queensland, Sharny has had well-known artists come through her studio - Dami Im, Kristin Berardi and Megan Washington, to name a few.

Sharny says, "This album is an eclectic profile of all that I do musically - my writing, arranging, piano playing, singing, improvising, scatting, and storytelling. I was privileged to record with some of the best musicians in the country, and I want this album to reach not only people's ears, but also their hearts."
