It's seldom that the classical music world ventures into the Adelaide Fringe but this series of performances by outstanding Italian Soprano Mariella Masi will tempt even non-Fringe goers to join in the festivities.

Soprano Mariella Masi will hold music lovers spellbound with her performance of Italian music, transporting the audience to beautiful Italy in 'Italia In/Canto' The Best of Italy in Concert: Napoletane, International Songs and Opera Arias as part of the Adelaide Fringe 2017.

Opera star Mariella is also a creative artist, who is known across Europe and is widely celebrated for her expressive and powerful singing voice. She is also a songwriter, composer, arranger and playwright.

This multi media event takes place at newly air conditioned St John's Church, Halifax Street, Adelaide on 18, 25 February and 11 and 18 March. Several works will be preceded by a screening of a short film exploring the historical background of the respective works, giving the audience insight into the rich and diverse culture are imbued in the music of Italy.

Mariella will perform a selection of opera arias from Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini, Bellini, Rossini and beautiful Napoletane songs such as Torna a Surriento, O sole mio, Nel blu dipinto di blu across all four concerts.

Tickets $50 pp with discounts available for concession card holders and groups.
Performances will be held on Saturday 18 and 25 February and Saturday 11 and Sunday 19 March at 7pm.
