From the pen of Willy Russell - the man behind the musical hit, Blood Brothers - comes Educating Rita a play that explores the themes of education, class and self-worth through the relationship of a tutor and his pupil at an Open University.

Whilst trawling her way through Shakespeare, Forster and Eliot, Rita discovers what it means to be herself amongst the countless expectations of others.

Educating Rita is the premiere production of IpSkip Productions, a company dedicated to creating quality theatre and arts opportunities. This production will be helmed by Nathan Quadrio and will star Lauren Renée as Rita and James McCluskey-Garcia as Frank. Lauren has just come off a star-turn as the titular role in Mary Poppins for Matt Byrne Media and as the Philadelphian socialite, Tracy Lord, in The Philadelphia Story for the Therry Dramatic Society. James has worked extensively in both amateur and professional theatre most recently touring in interactive horror shows interstate and appearing as Juror 2 in 12 Angry Men for Matt Byrne Media.

The entire IpSkip Productions team is thrilled to be bringing Russell's heartwarming comedy to the Adelaide stage.
