GYPSY to Play at Music Theatre of Wichita, 6/9-6/13

GYPSY will play at the Music Theatre of Wichita from June 9th through the 13th as part of its 2010 Broadway season.

One of the truly great musicals, this fact-inspired American saga puts Madame Rose center stage, a fearless and endlessly resourceful stage mother determined to survive the Depression by pushing her daughters into the spotlight. Based on the hilarious and heartbreaking memoirs of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, the incredible songs include "Let Me Entertain You," "Small World," "You'll Never Get Away from Me," "All I Need is the Girl," "You Gotta Get a Gimmick" and "Everything's Coming Up Roses."

Music Theatre of Wichita, the largest subscribed non-profit arts organization in the state of Kansas, has attained an international reputation for excellence. We have been described as one of the nation's top ten summer theatres, and are one of the few such organizations to mount all of its own productions each season, rather than bringing in touring packages.
