Mark Goucher, Wimpole Theatre and Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions present YES, PRIME MINISTER at The Apollo Theatre .

One of the most successful comedies in recent years, AnTony Jay and Jonathan Lynn's YES, PRIME MINISTER has played to sell out audiences at Chichester Festival Theatre and the Gielgud Theatre last year followed by a UK wide tour this Spring and is currently playing at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. At the end of the current run on September 17th, the production will pack up at the Apollo and move next door back into The Gielgud Theatre for a final 8 weeks.

Winning the Whatsonstage.com award for Best New Comedy, the recession-busting West End production of YES, PRIME MINISTER continues to demonstrate that the public have an insatiable appetite for the sharp political comedy that made the television series such colossal hits.

The signature roles of Prime Minister Jim Hacker and Sir Humphrey Appleby will continue to be performed by Richard McCabe and Simon Williams as they continue to grapple with a country in financial and political meltdown.

Since it opened in the summer of 2010, YES, PRIME MINISTER has attracted an array of political figures including Chris Huhne, Theresa May, Lord Lawson, Iain Duncan Smith, Eric Pickles, Diane Abbott and John Bercow, making it the talk of the corridors of power. The original TV series ran across eighteen years with a total of 38 episodes.

YES, PRIME MINISTER was written by AnTony Jay and Jonathan Lynn. Performances run Monday - Saturday 7:30pm; Wednesday and Saturday 2:30pm. Tickets from £20. The show runs until September 17, when it shall relocate to the Gielgud Theatre.

YES, PRIME MINISTER will run September 20 - November 19, with performances Monday - Saturday 7:30pm; Wednesday and Saturday 2:30pm (first matinee Wednesday 21 September). Tickets from £20
