A unique chance to see work in development at the Young Vic. Young Vic associate director, Joe Hill-Gibbins directs a workshop production of Anton Chekhov's tragic comedy Uncle Vanya for 11 performances only. Two obsessive love affairs that lead nowhere, a simmering rivalry and a flirtation that brings disaster. Chekhov's masterpiece of frustrated longing and wasted lives was written in 1899. This production will research and explore the contemporary implications of the story.
