The Old Vic is set to present Voices Off with Dr. Jane Goodall as part of the Voices Off series of talks, conversations and debates on Sunday 29 October at 5.15pm.

'Everything is connected - everyone can make a difference'

Dr. Jane Goodall, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, is world-renowned for her pioneering research on wild chimpanzees and her efforts to inspire every individual to protect the environment we share - a trait she shares with Dr. Seuss's The Lorax.

In this very special Voices Off talk, Jane will share exciting stories about her early life working at Gombe, the home of the wild chimpanzees, whom she has been studying for almost 60 years. She'll tell us why she left the forest she loves so much to raise awareness about the problems faced by chimpanzees and by the communities living in the area, and how the Jane Goodall Institute is working on key sustainable programmes to help these groups in Africa.

Jane will also discuss her global youth programme Roots & Shoots which is active in nearly 100 countries, with over 1,600 active groups in the UK alone.

Dr. Seuss's The Lorax returns to The Old Vic stage for a limited three-week run opening on Tuesday 24 October, with previews from Sunday 15 October 2017. This dazzlingly funny, moving, and inspiring show sees the go-getting Once-ler come face to face with the magical Lorax in a battle over the beloved truffula trees and the whole of Paradise Valley. Adapted for the stage by David Greig with music and lyrics by Charlie Fink and designs by multi-Olivier Award-winning Rob Howell, Dr. Seuss's The Lorax is a brilliant riot of eye-popping colour, gorgeous puppetry and infectious music to enchant adults and children alike.
