London's Young Vic Theatre will present a revival of August Wilson's 'Joe Turner's Come and Gone', directed by the Young Vic's Artistic Director David Lan. The play will begin its run on May 27 with performances scheduled through July 3.

August Wilson's spellbinding account of the deep effects of slavery won the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play when first performed on Broadway in 1988.

David Lan has directed various productions at the Young Vic including 'A Raisin in the Sun', ‘Tis Pity She's a Whore', 'Doctor Faustus', 'The Daughter-in-Law' and 'The Skin of Our Teeth'.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on March 1.
