Revival Of THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND To Open For A Limited Run At The Stockwell Playhouse

As the blockbuster Chicago returns to the West End for its 21yr anniversary, Kander and Ebb are more celebrated than ever. Stuart Saint and the Stockwell Playhouse revive one of most beloved musical theatre revues, celebrating the iconic writing tour de force, breathing new life into the most memorable material, paying homage to original works and proving that this legendary pair will always remain relevant as THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND.

The World Goes 'Round runs from Wednesday 28 March to Sunday 1 April 2018.

Starring Katy Baker, who won an OFFIE 2013 for her portrayal of 'Flora Meszaros' (Flora the Red Menace), is joined by Daniel Hall (My Land's Shore), Suzanna Kempner (Assassins, Brexit) and Georgina Nicholas (When Midnight Strikes). The World Goes 'Round is a stunning revue of the songbook from the multi-Tony-award-winning team who brought you legendary scores, such as Cabaret and Chicago, 70 Girls 70 and Flora the Red Menace, through to their more unique work like The Rink, The Act and Kiss of the SpiderWoman.

Filled with humour, romance, drama, and nonstop melody, five individuals find themselves careening through The World Goes 'Round, in a thrilling celebration of life with that fighting spirit that keeps us all going. This non-stop hit-parade features unforgettable gems including "All That Jazz," "Coloured Lights,", "Maybe this Time," "Cabaret," "Arthur In The Afternoon", "New York, New York" and many more, all seamlessly interwoven into a passionate, harmonious, up-tempo evening.

Critically acclaimed director and choreographer Stuart Saint (Princess, Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens, De Profundis), teams up with the Stockwell Playhouse, reinvigorating this classic revue with his own special flare, whilst paying homage to this incredible collection of material.
