Kim and Jack are trying for a baby. Trying pretty hard. Their friends are having kids left, right and centre.
A small army of doctors offer well-meaning advice but no actual answers. And nobody's getting any younger...
But the further they go, the more they start to wonder, what is this all for? Stuffed is a brand new comedy about friendship, fertility and the choices we make.
Do you know what I think the secret to getting pregnant is, Kim?
Being happy. Every time I've got pregnant I've just felt...unbelievably happy.
1 in 7 couples in the UK has difficultly conceiving a baby, and on average 75% of IVF cycles will fail. Stuffed, based on personal experience, is the story of a couple who go through the process, and how they come out the other side.
Stuffed is Red Squash Theatre's third production. Their previous shows include the award-winning horror Chew at the Etcetera Theatre in 2016, and their comedic reinvention of Shakespeare's Scottish play, Macbeeth, at the Hen & Chickens Theatre in 2017. Their mission statement is simply "theatrical storytelling", and they strive to tell meaningful stories in a bold, exciting and inherently theatrical way.
