On March 22nd, cabaret artiste Leanne Masterton will bring her acclaimed one woman tribute to Jerry Herman, Hello Jerry!, to the intimate Basement in London's Leicester Square Theatre. The revue was last seen in London at the Jermyn Street Theatre in September 2007.

The show will include a variety of songs penned by one of Broadway's most celebrated composer/lyricists, whose prestigious portfolio includes such shows as Hello Dolly, Mame, Dear World, Mack and Mabel and La Cage Aux Folles (which is currently enjoying a hugely successful revival at London's Playhouse Theatre).

Welsh born Miss Masterton trained at the Guildford School of Acting and her varied theatrical career includes roles such as Madame Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, Fosca in Passion and Marie Kelly in Jack The Ripper (at the Jermyn Street theatre) as well as cabaret at Pizza In the Park and various TV, film and radio appearances. Her recordings include singing the role of Maureen in the new Christopher Orton musical Elephant Juice and a solo CD on the Dress Circle label, Before The Parade Passes By - the songs of Jerry Herman. On hearing Leanne Masterton perform, theatre critic Gary Gonzalez commented that she gave "the best rendition of 'I Won't Send Roses' I've ever heard", while Don Pippin, Jerry Herman's close friend and musical director of over 40 years, also praised her vocals, describing her as a "wonderful new voice". In Hello Jerry! she will combine the qualities of her voice with her own relaxed and heart-warming brand of cabaret, which she describes as "a combination of character and quips".

Hello Jerry! - The Life, words and music of Jerry Herman will be staged on 22nd March at The Basement, Leicester Square Theatre, London @ 4pm - starring Leanne Masterton, joined by guest artist Mark Morgan, directed by Tim McArthur with musical direction by Joe Hood.
