Marti Pellow is set to join the cast of the UK Tour of Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll and Hyde. The tour begins at Bromley's Churchill Theatre Jan. 20-29, and moves to Abu Dhabi before traveling to many other cities in the UK.
Pellow recently appeared in the UK tour of Chicago. As lead vocalist of Wet Wet Wet, Marti had 12 British Top Ten hits including three No. 1 singles: "With A Little Help From My Friends", "Goodnight Girl" and "Love is All Around". Since leaving Wet Wet Wet in 1999, Marti Pellow has had a very successful solo career with albums such as "Smile", "Between the Covers", and "Moonlight Over Memphis". His TV appearances include "The Abbey", starring alongside Russell Brand, and he won the prime-time BBC1 hit show "Just The Two of Us". He has just completed a 10-month UK tour starring as 'Darryl Van Horne' in "Witches of Eastwick".
The UK tour of Jekyll and Hyde will travel to Dublin, Aberdeen, Manchester, Southampton, Birmingham, Bradford, Sheffield, Bristol, Liverpool, Stoke-on-Trent, Tunbridge Wells, Norwich, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Milton Keynes, Woking, Plymouth and Leeds. Jekyll & Hyde is a musical based on the novel, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. The original stage conception was by Steve Cuden and Frank Wildhorn. The music is by Wildhorn and the lyrics and book are by Leslie Bricusse.
