The Daily Mail reports that Marianne Jean-Baptiste will star in Debbie Tucker Green's new play HANG at the Royal Court this summer.

Jean-Baptiste currently stars in ITV's BROADCHURCH. She last appeared onstage in THE AMEN CORNER at the National two years ago.

The actress was nominated for an Oscar for the film Secrets & Lies and has also appeared in the U.S. TV series Without a Trace.

Among her recent big screen credits are TAKERS, SECRETS IN THE WALLS, HARRY'S LAW and ROBOCOP.

Green has written several plays, including BORN BAD, which won an Olivier Award in 2004. Among her other works are DIRTY BUTTERFLY, GENERATIONS, THE LAWS OF WAR, RANDOM, STONING MARY, TRADE, TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION, TWO WOMEN, SECOND COMING and NUT.
