According to the Daily Mail, Geoffrey Streatfeild and Claudie Blakley have been cast as Macbeth and his wife in Daniel Evan's production of Shakespeare's Macbeth at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, set for Sept. 5.

Streatfeild has appeared in the Royal Shakespeare Company's Henry IV Part One and Two and Henry V, as well as a Rivers' production of Richard III, a Chichester production of Merchant of Venice, and more. Outside works by the Bard, Streatfeild has played in the Bush Theatre's Eigengrau, the national tour of The History Boys, The National Theatre's Bacchai, Royal Court's Mountain Language, Comedy Theatre's Journey's End, and Nathan the Wise at Chichester. Streatfeild has appeared on screen in Spooks, The Other Boleyn Girl, Kinky Boots, Elizabeth I, and more.

Blakley has taken on Shakespeare in the Royal National Theatre's Comedy of Errors and Sheffield's King Lear. She has also appeared in National Theatre's Cherry Orchard, Attempts on Her Life, Peter Pan and Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, as well as Love and money, The Little Mermaid, A Girl in a Car with a Man, Alls Well That Ends Well, Random, The Tempest, The Seagull, and many more. Blakley has recently appeared on screen in Words of the Titanic, The Night watch, Bright Star, London to Brighton, Pride and Prejudice, Ready When You Are, Mr McGill, Gosford Park, A Christmas Carol and countless TV movies and mini-series.
