The star guest vocalists at SimG Productions’ Easter With The Composers at the Battersea Barge on Sunday March 25 will be Liam Doyle, Niamh Perry, Ben Stott and Shona White.

Liam Doyle earned the lead role of Troy Bolton in the UK tour of High School Musical 2 in GMTV’s “Search For A Troy”. He later played Link Larkin in the UK tour of Hairspray and was Aladdin in the 2011 pantomime at the Swansea Grand theatre. Most recently Liam played the role of Michael in the musical After The Turn at the Courtyard Theatre.

Niamh Perry found fame as one of the finalists on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s BBC talent search show I’d Do Anything and later played the role of Fleck in Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies. Her professional stage debut was in Only The Brave at the Edinburgh Fringe, her West End debut was as Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia and she was seen most recently in the highly acclaimed Song Cycle For Soho at the Soho Theatre, which was directed by “Easter With..” director/producer Simon Greiff.

Ben Stott played Jack in the Olivier Award-winning production of Sondheim’s Into The Woods at Regent’s Park and Boq in Wicked. He was voted Best Actor at the Liverpool Daily Post Readers' Choice Awards 2010 for his performance as Hedwig in Hedwig And The Angry Inch. He has also been seen in the popular television series Waterloo Road and Doctors.

Shona White played Florence Vassy in Craig Revel Horwood’s production of Chess, both in Toronto and in the UK tour. Her other musical theatre credits include Elphaba In Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked and roles in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along at the Donmar and in the Charles Miller/Kevin Hammond musical When Midnight Strikes at the Finborough. Her debut solo album “I’ll Bring You A Song” was released in 2011.

In Easter With The Composers the four guest vocalists will perform songs by a quartet from the new generation of British musical theatre songwriters - Chris Passey, Lindsey Miller, Joe Sterling and writing partners Jake Brunger and Pippa Cleary - who will also perform some of their own (and each other’s) work.

Easter With The Composers is the latest in a line of concerts/shows helmed by Simon Greiff of SimG Productions. Greiff, who was the subject of a feature article in last week’s The Stage, is one of the most stalwart champions of new writing in the UK. Firmly placing his faith in the talent of these "new age" songwriters, he has launched this concert to enable them to showcase their work and demonstrate clearly that there is a wealth of emerging musical theatre writing talent in the UK.
