Christmas in New York, the latest instalment in the West End's critically acclaimed "Notes from New York" series, will now take place at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue on Sunday 10 December 2006 at 7.30pm and not at the Lyric Theatre as previously advertised.

Commenting on the change of venue, the producers of the show said, "Nimax Theatres, who own both the Lyric and the Apollo, offered us the chance to produce Christmas in New York at the Apollo without the constraints of a resident production. As this will be the largest and most technically demanding show we have so far produced in the 'Notes from New York' series, we have embraced this opportunity. We look forward to welcoming theatregoers to the Apollo."

Patrons who have already bought tickets for Christmas in New York are being contacted to organise equivalent seats for the show at the Apollo. However, anyone with queries about the change of venue can contact their point of purchase or call the Box Office on 0870 890 1101.

Musical theatre favourite Josie Walker makes a long overdue return to the West End in Christmas in New York alongside series regulars Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer. Also set to appear Cassidy Janson, James Gillan, and Oliver Tompsett from the UK première of Wicked, Jon Robyns and Clare Foster from Avenue Q, Sophia Ragavelas from Les Misérables, and Melanie La Barrie from Daddy Cool.

Featuring a selection of seasonal songs by acclaimed American composers including Alan Menken, Andrew Lippa, Craig Carnelia, David Friedman, Frank Wildhorn and Jason Robert Brown, Christmas in New York will also include the world première of a specially commissioned song by British composer Grant Olding, whose work was previously profiled in Not(es) from New York earlier this year. Charles Miller's song "Christmas in New York" provides the title for the show, and some familiar tunes are interspersed along the way.

Josie Walker returns to the West End for the first time since her acclaimed performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Beautiful Game.  Her most recent credits include The Hired Man at the Salisbury Playhouse and Assassins at the Sheffield Crucible. Julie Atherton is currently playing the lead roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut in the West End première of Avenue Q, and Paul Spicer is currently working on Something in Common, his first ever solo show, following which he will join the international  tour of Mamma Mia. They are joined by seven of the West End's most exciting young musical theatre talents.

The show is directed by David Randall, with associate direction by Paul Spicer.
