Britain's Got Talent Winner George Sampson To Star In Hair-Raising Pantomime Adventure

Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson will lead the cast as Prince George in Rapunzel on it's UK Tour.

Inviting audiences to an action-packed version of one of our best-loved traditional stories, it is the eve of Rapunzel's birthday and Horabella seeks to capture the young girl that will provide the necessary magic to guarantee the evil witch eternal youth, It's going to be one hair-raising adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat, join Queen Passionella, Chester The Jester, fabulous Fairy Kind Heart and our hero Prince George and help save Rapunzel from her fate......

George Sampson found fame on Britain's Got Talent when, aged just fourteen, he danced his way into the hearts of the nation. More recently he has appeared on television in 'Mount Pleasant', 'Waterloo Road' and 'Emmerdale'. Film work includes 'StreetDance 2' and 'StreetDance 3D'. Last year George embarked upon his first UK tour in the critically acclaimed 'Our House: The Musical'

Joining George is songbird Charlotte Dacia as Rapunzel. X Factors Sohelia Cliford as Fairy Kind Heart, Gemma Gibbions as Horabella, Jamie Jones as Queen Passionaella and Garry Morrison as Chester the Jester.

Producer Joe Purdy said: "We are delighted to welcome George to an already hugely talented cast for a show that promises to be a wonderful summer treat for all the family. We've taken traditional pantomime and given it a summer twist."

George Sampson said: "George, who won the television contest with his Singin' in the Rain street dance routine said: "This is my eighth pantomime and this is the

first time I am playing the prince, I never usually get to play royalty, I'm usually Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk or Aladdin,"

He added: "I loved panto as a kid, it's nice that kids come and believe in the magic. I love travelling to diferent theatres and love the people. I think the audiences are going to enjoy it and they can expect a very good and funny show, who knows you might even get to see me do a little bit of Singin' In The Rain"

Performances take place at Camberley Theatre - 28th May, The Broadway Theatre, Barking - 1st June, Middleton Arena - 3rd June, Epsom Playhouse - 23rd & 24th June, Sutton Coldfield Town Hall - 14th July, The Tivoli Theatre, Aberdeen - 19th - 22nd July & William Aston Hall, Wrexham - 29th July.
