VIDEO: HEISENBERG Comes to Signature Theatre

Signature Theatre presents the DC premiere of Heisenberg by Tony Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) and directed by Signature Theatre Director of New Works Joe Calarco (Signature's The Flick, The Scottsboro Boys). The production will star Michael Russotto (Rep Stage's The Whale, Signature's Art) as Alex and Rachel Zampelli (Signature's The Gulf, Midwestern Gothic) as Georgie. Heisenberg will run September 18 - November 11, 2018 in Signature Theatre's ARK Theatre.

A chance encounter at a London train stop changes the course of life for Georgie and Alex. After mistaking him for someone else, Georgie finds herself improbably drawn to the much older Alex. Simon Stephens' Heisenberg was heralded as "vibrant and emotionally charged" by The New York Times and "quirky, lovely, funny and powerful" by The Associated Press.

"We're looking forward to having Rachel Zampelli and Michael Russotto back on our stage in this special new play by Simon Stephens," said Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. "It promises to be a great kick off to our season in the ARK Theatre."

The creative team includes Scenic Design by Pamela Weiner, Lighting Design by Andrew Cissna (Signature's John), Costume Design by Alison Samantha Johnson (Keegan's The Bridges of Madison County), Sound Design by Kenny Neal (Signature's John), Production Stage Manager Karen Currie, Production Assistant Sophia Lewin Adams.
