The Tarot Reading Returns for Tarot III this October

The Tarot Reading announces its third convocation, Tarot III. The Tarot Reading is a variety show like none other. A group of eclectic artists create singular acts for one yet many, each inspired by a card of the Tarot. Each act is interactive, performed for and with one adventurous (consenting) audience member. The Tarot Reading is a performance series first convened in October, 2016 at Studio 1469 in Columbia Heights, and again in March, 2017 at Evening Star Cafe. Tarot III will feature performances from the divine Mediums:

B'Ellana Duquesne - Devised performer and gender warrior. Seen in Mosaic Theatre'sCharm and Forum Theatre's The T Party.

Gwen Grastorf - Clown, professional shapeshifter, and company member of Happenstance Theatre.

Allyson Harkey - Actor, singer, queen of the night owls, and co-founder of Pinky Swear Productions.

Jon Jon Johnson - Interdisciplinary artist, ancient one, and company member of Flying V Theatre.

Michael "Cariño Valentine" Moya - Visual artist, strongman, and boylesque performer with Manic Pixie Nightmares Burlesque.

Niusha Nawab - Devised performer, theatrical designer, and gallivanter extraordinaire. Seen in New Game Theatre's Play Cupid at Capital Fringe 2016.

Miss Buffy Wilde - Drag Queen, insatiable witch, and director Joshua W. Kelley in another life (perhaps).

Alan Katz will play The Fool, your Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The Summoning Team of producers for Tarot III is led by Quill Nebeker & Alan Katz, with JoAn Cummins. The Alchemy Team of management is led by Cody Whitfield, with Allison Poms.

Press and everyone else are invited to Tarot III as either a Seeker or a Witness, at their preference. Seekers are dealt a card at random upon entry. When their card is called, they will be invited to our throne to take part in an entertainment crafted special for them. Witnesses will not be called upon, and are invited to watch the evening unfold from the comfort of their seat in the lounge. For more information on The Tarot Reading, please visit our "about" page.
