Single (non-subscription) tickets for Washington National Opera's 2009-10 season will go on sale to the public on Sunday, August 2, 2009 via an online pre-sale at www.dc-opera.org; tickets will be available in-person and over the phone beginning at 10 a.m.

Monday, August 3. This is the first opportunity for the general public to purchase individual tickets for WNO's 2009-10 season. WNO performances often sell out, and patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets early to ensure best availability. WNO's 54th season, which opens September 12, 2009, features operatic favorites such as Rossini's The Barber of Seville and Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, a revival of WNO's critically acclaimed production of the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, the company debuts of internationally renowned singers such as tenor Lawrence Brownlee and Diana Damrau, and more.
