Possum Juniors Present BUS STOP

By:

Just when summer temperatures soar, Possum Juniors offer the perfect escape to heat, humidity and the routine. The Possum Point Players youth affiliate invites audiences to come into the air-conditioned Possum Hall and see a famous romantic dramedy about people stranded in a snow storm. Juniors present the William Inge play, "Bus Stop" on July 20, 21 and 22. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 p.m.; Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 and seniors and students tickets are $8.

Director of the Possum Juniors' summer production, Braeden Swain, has drawn a cast from many communities from New Castle County to Long Neck, way south in Sussex. Youth actors featured in "Bus Stop" include Jade Eisenacher, Middletown; Blair Williams, Millsboro; Alexis Waeldy, Frederica; William Kinna, Newark and Connor Hall, Milford. Rounding out the cast are Jamie Riddle, Long Neck; Nick Outten, Georgetown and Sava Cook, Seaford.

Swain invited theatre patrons to keep their cool in Possum Hall as they watch cowboy rodeo star Beau trying to get nightclub singer Cherie to warm up to him when a blizzard strands their bus at a diner. As the other stranded travelers and diner staff serve up advice on the situation, Beau learns something about bullying and Cherie realizes that she might be seeing an honest, open-hearted man for the first time. Possum Hall is located at 441 Old Laurel Rd, Georgetown. All tickets are general admission, call 302-856-3460 for information,

Bus Stop is produced through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service

Possum Point Players is supported, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
