Soaring music, dramatic arias, emotional outbursts, and fascinating insight into the world of the arts, the artist and the psyche of the renowned Diva, Maria Callas. Terrence McNally puts "La Divina" center stage as she inspires, prods and terrorizes her students, while offering a riveting, penetrating portrait of her own life on stage and off. Memories from La Scala, her marriages, and her art abound. Inspired by a series of master classes Maria Callas conducted at Juilliard toward the end of her career, McNally's theatrical aria is a valentine to the legendary Callas and his love of opera. Featuring Washington favorite, Ilona Dulaski, in this inspirational reprisal of a Tony Award winning Broadway smash.
