The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts celebrates the Ella Fitzgerald centennial. The program pays tribute to the artist's legendary music through performances featuring Regina Carter, NSO Pops, and Jane Monheit.

One of the leading instrumentalists of her generation, jazz violinist and MacArthur Fellow Regina Carter celebrates the 100th birthday of her musical idol and inspiration, Ella Fitzgerald. Tickets start at $26.

NSO Pops: Sophisticated Ladies: 100 Years of Ella & Company

Friday and Saturday, March 24 & 25, 2017 at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall

Acclaimed singers Sy Smith, Capathia Jenkins, and Montego Glover come together, led by Principal NSO Pops conductor Steven Reineke, in a special program that showcases many of Fitzgerald's most popular songs. The show also looks back on the unforgettable contributions of her contemporaries, including classics by Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, and Dinah Washington. Tickets start at $24.

Grammy-nominated vocalist Jane Monheit pays a joyous tribute through her new album, The Songbook Sessions: Ella Fitzgerald. The vocalist will be accompanied by producer and trumpeter Nicholas Payton. This beautiful homage for Fitzgerald holds profound personal and professional importance for Monheit, who found her artistic footing through the singer's beloved songbook albums. Tickets start at $45.
