Improbable Comedy Offers All-Clean Line Up at Highwood Theatre

By:

Improbable Comedy presents a clean, premium stand-up comedy show at the Highwood Theatre in Silver Spring. The line-up includes headliner Bengt Washburn and features Randolph Terrance and emcee Michele Sometimes-Gray. The March 30 show will be the first all-clean show that the Silver Spring-based Production Company will be offering.

Bengt Washburn is a winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He has been seen on Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Fergusen and Live at Gotham on Comedy Central. His comedy derives from his upbringing (the youngest of seven kids in a small Mormon town) and his adult life (he is married to a career airforce officer and has lived in six cities in eleven years). He is described as intelligent and profoundly funny. Randolph Terrance is a favorite at the DC Improv and Arlington Drafthouse, known for his podcast Three Guys On and his funny reflections on life, work and fatherhood.

This first "clean content" show is in response to audience demand, explained Improbable Comedy founder and producer Kim Levone. "The most important thing is: these comics are hilarious! Still, we are tailoring a show (which I would describe as PG-13) because we have been asked by our audience to offer that. It's still a show for adults with humor and jokes about real life."

The venue for this show is Highwood Theatre's new black box space. According to Levone, the theatre has been engaged in a capital campaign to expand their space and "we are happy to partner with them to offer comedy in the larger theatre."
